There are several providers of home health care in Tompkins County.
Services range from personal assistance with bathing to specialized wound care
or IV management.
The Tompkins County Office for the Aging lists local home care providers and their hourly rates in its Long Term Support Services brochure. This brochure also describes the different levels of care.
A good place to start is Long Term Care Services of Tompkins County (607-274-5278). At no cost, they provide information, referral, assessment, and case management to Tompkins County residents with long term care needs.
The Home Care Program of Family and Children's Services (277-8081) assists individuals and families caring for elderly or disabled family members, patients recovering from serious illness, and the elderly living alone. Home health aides, personal care aides, respite aides, and caregiving counseling are available.
