The Tompkins County Public
Library (607-272-4557) maintains a large collection of books about
cancer, as do other public libraries in our area.
The library
of the Cancer Resource Center (607-277-0960, 612 West State St.,
Ithaca) contains more than 700 volumes on cancer and health. Anyone is welcome
to borrow items from the library during normal business hours.
The Cancer Support & Information
Program (607-274-4060), based in Cayuga Medical Center’s
Department of Radiation Medicine, maintains a large library of brochures from
the National Cancer Institute and many other sources. The brochures are in the
Radiation Medicine conference room, which is open from 8am – 4pm.
